About GTA6.city
An interactive map of Leonida, built out of the leaked artwork, the community's mapping work and whatever Rockstar has actually said.
Where the map comes from
The drawing underneath everything is the leaked world map of Leonida. The places on top of it are the work of gtadb.org, used under CC BY 4.0 and adapted, and every imported place says on its own page which source it came from. Where the community's reconstruction is the only record of something, the page says that too.
What is confirmed and what is not
Rockstar has published a handful of facts about Leonida and the internet has published a great deal more. That difference matters more on a site like this than anything else on it, so it is marked: anything that comes from a leak, a fan wiki or a frame of a trailer somebody slowed down is labelled as not confirmed, in a block of its own, rather than written into a sentence and left to be believed.
Nothing here is inside knowledge: there is no contact at Rockstar and no early copy of the game, only the map, the sources above, and the time to keep them in order.
What you can do with it
- Open any marker on the map for what is known about that place, where it is, and which source it came from.
- Browse the same places as pages instead, by category or by neighbourhood, under all places. That is the whole map written out for anyone who cannot open a map: no javascript, no canvas.
- Sign in to save places into lists, share a list with other people, and drop your own pins. A pin you drop stays private unless you share its link.
- Put the map on your own site with the line of html on the embed page.
- Read the guides on the blog, which is where anything that takes more than a panel to explain ends up.
Saying a place is wrong
Plenty here is wrong, and at release a few hundred thousand people will know this world better than this site does. Two ways to say so:
- Open any place on the map and use the report button in its panel. A report changes nothing by itself: it puts the place on a list that gets read, and somebody decides.
- Say it in the Discord, which is where the arguing about where things are actually happens.
What happens when the game is out
The map gets measured against the real thing, the guesses come out, and the guides on the blog get rewritten with what the game actually contains. Everything on this site is a best effort at a world nobody outside Rockstar has walked around in yet, and the day that changes is the day all of it can be checked.
